Lea's Fundraiser fun run
The SALTy Five
5 km of sea, sand and smiles for SALT
🎟️ Every ticket = a lucky draw entry.
Grade 6 · Elkanah HouseHi, I'm Lea!
I'm 12, I'm in Grade 6 at Elkanah House, and I love being active and outdoors. For my REACH project (that's where we get to dream up our own way of helping other people) I decided to organise a fun run on my favourite stretch of sand.
I chose to do a fundraiser for the SALT School Feeding Programme because I want to help kids who go to school hungry. Every school day, SALT makes sure children in Table View and Dunoon get a proper meal. I think this is really important because nobody should have to try and learn on an empty tummy. It's hard to concentrate on fractions when you're hungry. Trust me. And if you are not convinced, give it a try. 😊
So grab your family, your takkies and your enthusiasm, and come join my SALTy 5km fun run on 1st November 2026. Let's get our toes salty for a good cause!

Where the money goes
100% to SALT Projects.
SALT (Sharing Abundant Life Together) has looked after vulnerable children and families in Table View, Dunoon and nearby for over 22 years. Every school day they serve nourishing meals to children in need, and they hand out monthly food parcels, school stationery and uniforms, and run Isidima, a wellbeing programme for women (it means “dignity” in isiXhosa).
We don't touch a cent — tickets and donations go straight to SALT.

Eden on the Bay has a parking area, and there's more along the Big Bay beachfront. Carpool if you can, it fills up fast on a sunny morning.
A water bottle, a hat, sunscreen and your ticket on your phone. Some cash if you'd like to pop something in the donation bucket.
Rain or shine, we run! We'll only postpone if it's actually dangerous, and you'll hear about it by email to all ticket holders the evening before.
Yes, Big Bay is dog-friendly. Please keep your pooch on a lead near the start and pick up after them.
Yes, there are public toilets at Eden on the Bay right next to the start and finish.
